We know how hard this can be, because we have been in their position. That’s where you can help us—by designing intuitive tools to help small businesses solve complex problems.

With a forward-leaning and self-driven attitude, we continue to find new ways to help our customers get their ideas out into the world. As a team, we run at a steady pace to achieve what we aim for. We learn best by gathering data, trying new things, and sometimes even falling down along the way. It’s the lessons we learn in the process that make us better problem-solvers for small business owners.

Location

We are happy to invite you to work with us in our office in Hamburg or permanently remote from any location. Wherever your working location of choice will be, we will make sure you get proper onboarding (virtual or in person) and that you are fully equipped to become part of the team from day one.
Regarding candidates who want to relocate to Hamburg: Due to COVID our offices are temporarily closed. We will invite you to start working with us from your current location for the time being. Once the borders are reopened, and the Embassies accept visa applications again, we will initiate the relocation process to Hamburg. Until then, you will be invited to work with us remotely with a temporary contract.

Your Mission

We love the self-employed and you’ll be the one who translates this into pictures, colors, layouts, websites, videos and campaigns. You understand what makes the self-employed tick and know how to reach and inspire them with outstanding creation. How do these store owners, small entrepreneurs, craftsmen work? What do they dream of? What do they struggle with? What helps them? You’ll ask yourself these questions every day and find creative ways to answer them. Not with generic stock photos, but with authentic stories and outstanding campaigns. Because you speak the language of the self-employed and meet them on an equal footing. You make it easy for them to understand and use our products and services so they can concentrate fully on their business. Along with your team, you’ll create a consistent look that fits the Jimdo brand. Every layout, every website, and every ad will speak to them with one clear goal and a big heart.

Responsibilities

  • You’ll establish the new Jimdo brand design on all channels online and offline. This includes product, advertising, content marketing and internal communication.
  • You’ll give the brand a face and a voice that our customers enjoy communicating with on an equal footing.
  • You and your team will develop outstanding concepts and campaigns that involve our clients and whose impact can be measured.
  • With your understanding of design, UI, and UX, you’ll make Jimdo an even better partner for our customers.
  • You’ll develop and lead creative teams, motivate them and create an environment for outstanding creation.
  • You’ll take creative leadership when we work with external creative agencies and other partners.

      Requirements

      • You have extensive expertise and experience in brand design on an international level.
      • You bring a deep understanding of strategy, our market, clients and the latest digital communication channels.
      • You enjoy leadership, are communicative, can approach your employees and help each of them to develop.
      • You speak excellent English. Other languages are a plus.
      • We don’t expect you to already be as passionate about small businesses as we are but we hope you will be enthusiastic about our mission.
