Location

We are happy to invite you to work with us in our office in Hamburg or permanently remote from any location. Wherever your working location of choice will be, we will make sure you get proper onboarding (virtual or in person) and that you are fully equipped to become part of the team from day one.
Regarding candidates who want to relocate to Hamburg: Due to COVID, our offices are temporarily closed. We will invite you to start working with us from your current location for the time being. Once the borders are reopened, and the Embassies accept visa applications again, we will initiate the relocation process to Hamburg. Until then, you will be invited to work with us remotely with a temporary contract.

Your Mission

As a Reporting Analyst within the Reporting unit of our Business & Marketing Analytics Team, you will aim to improve our reporting solution with Tableau Software and how it is being used within Jimdo.

The role will focus on mastering Visual Analytics and Information Design with Tableau Software and applying best practice rules throughout the entire company.

We are looking for a champion in this area, who can leverage her/his experience and skillset to drive Reporting at Jimdo to a whole new level.

Responsibilities

  • Be an expert on Tableau Desktop, create and advocate best practices, guidelines, standards & templates to optimize how we share information and how it is being consumed throughout Jimdo
  • Together with your team members own financial and general company-wide reports
  • Tableau Server Administration, including Licensing, User Accounts, Permissions, Extracts, Performance, Schedules, Folder Structure, Errors, Alarms
  • Act as a sparring partner and consultant for all Analysts and everybody at Jimdo who wants to work with Tableau or any sort of information/visualization
  • You thrive in a proactive work environment and have a can-do mentality, there will be requests, but we expect you to drive your own area forward
  • Stay up to date with new Tableau developments, visualization trends and constantly evaluate and develop Jimdo’s reporting solution further


Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working in Reporting
  • You have a passion for Self-Service-BI and extensive knowledge around the Tableau product suite or similar platforms like Power BI
  • Data Visualization is more than a word for you and seeing a 3D Pie Chart will cause nightmares
  • You are confident in writing your own SQL queries to build performant dashboards
  • Being able to work on more abstract concepts, guidelines & standards with the ability to apply everything to our specific needs at Jimdo
  • You effectively communicate complex matters and requirements to non-domain experts in a simple, crisp and concise way - visually and verbally
  • You have a good business understanding, ideally in a SaaS / Freemium environment

Nice to have

  • You are a certified Tableau user and can share dashboards you have previously built, e.g. via Tableau Public (or equivalent for other solutions)
  • You know your way around Python, mainly in the context of working with REST APIs
  • You stay informed and up to date with the development and events of recent scientific findings and market development
