The Team

Marketing Tooling (Mato) owns our website and all our upper funnel (landing) pages and blogs, making them highly performant and world class, by using the best technologies. The team employs engineering best practices to develop, run, and optimize marketing-related technical infrastructure. Mato also studies and advises on both engineering as well as marketing tools and technologies.

As an engineering team, Mato implements Jimdo Marketing projects but also partners with Jimdo teams to create new projects. As a team with ties to both departments, Mato links Product & Engineering and Marketing and aims to improve their collaboration.


  • Implement new web apps, sites, and tools that help us serve and connect better with our users.
  • Help improve and automate team tools and infrastructure.
  • Identify performance issues of our sites and provide solutions.
  • Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
  • Mentor and train team members about development practices.
  • Take initiative to enable the team and Jimdo Marketing make it easier for our users to get what they need.


  • You enjoy and have experience building web applications.
  • You are comfortable working in different parts of the stack.
  • You have great experience with frontend languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • You are fluent in modern frameworks such as React, Vue or Angular.
  • You have experience with version control (notably Git).
  • Experience with testing and frontend testing frameworks (e.g. Jest).

Nice to have

  • You have marketing related experience (e.g. a similar team or marketing agency).
  • You have software development skills in multiple languages and environments (preferably Node.js and Java/Kotlin).
  • You have DevOps experience, and experience building and running production systems.
  • You have experience with Cloud Computing platforms (e.g. Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
