Your Mission

The mission of the Business Development & Partnerships Manager is to build and execute on Jimdo’s strategy for partnership acquisition. In this role, you will define Jimdo’s partnership offerings, build a pipeline of potential partners and engage in outreach, negotiation and implementation in order to deepen Jimdo’s product offerings and drive growth KPIs. This role will be a critical part of Jimdo’s future growth and provide a unique opportunity to create a new business capability within a fast growing company.


  • To define and lead Jimdo’s Business Development strategy for acquiring and implementing strategic partnerships including creating a partnerships roadmap and defining success metrics.
  • To identify innovative opportunities for strategic partnerships through understanding competitors, market trends and customer needs.
  • To source, onboard and manage and support new and existing strategic partnerships, focusing on driving growth KPIs (new users, revenue, Average revenue per user, etc).
  • To build and manage a pipeline of potential partners, including conducting outreach to cold and warm leads, conducting pitch conversations and negotiating new opportunities for collaboration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (legal, procurement, finance, product, etc) to ensure successful onboarding and integration of partnerships and product offerings.


  • 8+ years of relevant experience in strategy consulting, program management,, partnerships, business development or business strategy.
  • Experience working in a software-as-a-service (SaaS) business, preferably with products or services in the B2B, consumer subscription, FinTech, AddTech or MarTech space.
  • Experience executing on complex strategic, product or brand partnerships, including relationship management, technical integration and stakeholder management (internal and external).
  • Ability to derive actionable insights and drive outcomes from qualitative and quantitative data sources.
  • Lean and flexible approach to work and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders of all levels (including executives) in a remote, asynchronous environment.
  • Excellent problem solving, conflict resolution and time management skills.
  • A demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently. Willingness to operate in an environment filled with ambiguity, testing/experimentation and change.
  • Ambition to learn about the challenges and opportunities of starting and/or running a small or microbusiness.
  • Fluency in German and English, both spoken and written.
