As an Italian Translator, you will work closely with our Content Editors, Product Teams, and Localization Coordinator. You will be responsible for translating our software, website, SEO and marketing campaigns for an Italian speaking audience. You have an eagle-eye for detail, empathy for customers, and you can communicate technical information in a friendly, conversational tone.

Responsibilites

  • Translate and proofread the text within our desktop CMS and mobile applications for an Italian speaking audience.
  • Translate and proofread blog posts, UX and newsletter communication to our Italian speaking customers.
  • You’ll translate content for our websites including SEO optimization and keyword target review/translation.
  • Work closely with and inspire Jimdo’s team of writers, translators and designers, helping them create, execute, and translate the best, most creative content ideas across Jimdo’s 8 languages.
  • You’ll explain complicated topics and technical features in a way that’s easy for “non-tech” people to understand
  • Shape, share and continuously improve a distinct voice and tone in Jimdo’s writing

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience translating websites and UX for the tech industry from English to Italian.
  • Ability to write in a light, playful tone while still communicating clear messages.
  • Familiarity with SEO and keyword research
  • You are available daily, ca. 10 hours a week.
  • You can work remotely or inhouse with us in Hamburg
